Ace combat 6: Ace of Aces difficulty
Ace of Aces(AoA) is a difficulty that can only be unlocked by downloading it from Xbox LIVE.
Ace of Aces is the most hardest difficulty in Ace combat 6. But some says the hardest in all Ace combat series. In Ace of Aces difficulty, there are only 5 missions available to play. In this difficulty, enemy numbers are heavily increased and more armored than in Easy-Ace difficulty. The enemy seems to be more skilled too.
Ace of Aces mission 1(Invasion of Gracemeria)
In Ace of Aces mission 1, the numbers of the enemy are heavily increased and the B-52s are more armored. Many times, enemy planes will hit you with a gun fire if you pass through the enemy plane's
nose. If you are in the rear side of the B-52s, they will strike you with their back cannon and it's more accurate than Easy-Ace difficulties. You can land on the airport if you need supplies for this mission because it is a difficult mission. In this mission, there will be some parts when you have to destroy targets marked as Red, Blue, Green with time limits. In that part, you will have to shoot down in the air and you cannot lock-on with your missles. After that part, you will face Inuccubus and Sucubus squadron. Inuccubus squadron is flying F-18Fs and Sucubus squadron is flying Rafale Ms. Inuccubus and Sucubus squadron's aircrafts are more armored than the other planes. Making it to destroy with more than one missle. After you have shot down both squadrons, the P-1112 Aiaion and the strigon team will appear. The Aigaion will fire a lot more Nimbus cruise missles and Normal Air-To-Air missles. It will make a heavy sky carnage. The Strigon teams are targets in this mission. This time, Victor Voycheck(Strigon leader) will pilot a CFA-44 Nosferatu. Making him harder to shoot down. But Voycheck can't fly as fast as new Strigon Leader Pasternak and can't use ESM. The Aigaion is invincible on this mission. After you shoot down all Strigon aircrafts, the mission will be complete.
Ace of Aces mission 2(Vitoze derial defense)
Ace of Aces mission 3(Sipli field)
F-22As , SU-47s, AC-130s and more aircrafts will be your air targets to destroy. After that you will face Red, Blue, Green once more just like in the previous AoA missions. Then, after you have cleared all operations, there will be a mission update. The mission update will be to destroy any remaining targets. After the enemy numbers are heavily decreased, there will be 6 Strigon CFA-44s as your next targets. They are still not as fast as the new Strigon leader ''IlyaPasternak''. But sometimes they fire ADMM barrages. After you have destroyed those targets, the mision will be complete.
Ace of Aces mission 4(Bartolomeo Fortress)
In this mission, first you will have to start with an operation. There are three operations in this mission. First o will start with ground targets. Then, you will face AMD trains displayed as Red, Blue, Green. After that, you can start another operation. After all of the operations are complete, there will be a mission update. The update will be to engage enemy fortress. After that, a P-1113 Kottos aircraft will appear. You have to destroy the Kottos. But, be careful because Kottos is armed with level 2 enemy ESM. That will reduce your missle capability. Once you destroy the Kottos aircraft, the Strigon team, Aigaion and the Belkan war aces from Ace combat zero Gault squadron will appear too. In this mission, Pasternak will appear and semm to be flying an SU-33. Pasternak will be displayed as ''SU-33 PASTERNAK''. You have to shoot all of them encluding the Aigaion to complete the mission.

This mission is the final mission for Ace of aces difficulty. In this mission, first you will face an Estovakian fleet. You have to destroy all of the ships. The fleet contains Aegis, Cruisers, Destroyers and Aircraft carriers. The Destroyers will take 2 missles to destroy instead of one missle in the other difficulties. The Aircraft carriers will launch Rafale M fighters. In this part, you will have to be careful because of the multiple Nimbus cruise missles launched from the Aigaion. After the fleet is destroyed. You will have to destroy enemy contships displayed as Red, Blue, Green with a time limit. Then you will face the Strigon team and the Estovakian Aerial fleet(Aigaion, Kottos, Gyges). The Aigaion will attack you with Nimbus cruise missles too.
The Kottos, Gyges aircraft and the Strigon team must be destroyed before you want to destroy the Aigaion. After the Strigon team, Kottos and gyges aircrafts are destroyed, you can face the Aigaion. First, you will have to destroy the AA guns, SAMs and the engines. After that, there are bonus fighters appear. Those fighters are the hero Aces in the previous Ace combat series. Those Aces are: Mobius 1, Blaze, Galm, Gryphus, Yellow 13 and Yellow 4. You don;t have to shoot them down because they are not targets but contains a high score if you destroy them. But, you better shoot them down or they will make heavy trouble in the next mission update. After that, you have to destroy the Aigaion's cockpit. Then, there will be a mission update. This mission update is the final update on this mission. In the last mission update, you will face the Strigon leader ''Ilya Pasternak''. This time, Pasternak uses a CFA-44 instead of an SU-33 on the previous AoA mission. Pasternak will be displayed as: CFA-44 PASTERNAK. Pasternak will attack you with multiple ADMM barrages while he uses his ESM device and send UAV-45 drones. This time, when Pasternak uses his ESM, he is even more faster than in mission 13 on the other difficulties. The Aigaion will support Pasternak with missle barrages and Nimbus missles. Pasternak can use his ADMM and ESM any time. The ADMM, ESM and the extreme manuverability will make Pasternak the most dangerous fighter in Ace of aces difficulty. The UAV-45s will disturb you with gun fires when you are trying to destroy Pasternak. The missles from the Aigaion and the ADMM barrages from Pasternak will make a very huge sky carnage. You have to shoot him down carefully. After you have shot down Pasternak, you will have to destroy the Core Aiagaion as your final target. After that, the mission will be complete.
